Cascade Training in Paro

A successful cascade training on the acceptance and use of assistive technology was conducted on 1st and 2nd August 2024 in Paro, with 37 participants, including teachers and parents from Paro and Haa, supported by the Bhutan Foundation. The two-day training aimed to enhance understanding and adoption of assistive technology, focusing on the nature of disabilities, the barriers faced by individuals with disabilities, and the critical role of assistive technology in overcoming these challenges. The training also emphasized practical implementation strategies, equipping participants with hands-on experience to better support individuals with disabilities in their communities.

One of the participating teachers remarked on the unique nature of the workshop, saying, “I have attended many workshops and trainings, but this one was completely different, where parents and teachers came together and tried to solve problems. Thank you Phensem, for this unique approach.”
