Phensem PSGB and Bhutan Foundation Promote Assistive Technology Awareness

On May 20, the Phensem Parents Support Group Bhutan (PSGB), in partnership with the Bhutan Foundation, organized a significant advocacy and awareness workshop at the Youth Development Fund (YDF) focused on the acceptance and utilization of Assistive Technology (AT).

This event marked a major step forward in enhancing support for children and individuals with disabilities in Bhutan. Founded in July 2017 by three dedicated mothers, PSGB has been committed to improving the lives of children with disabilities. It officially became a registered Civil Society Organization (CSO) on July 30, 2020, making it the first parent support group in Bhutan to achieve this status. By September 2023, PSGB had grown to include over 200 parent members, all working to support and empower families of children and persons with disabilities.
