First Foundation Day

The Phensem Family celebrated its first Foundation Day after two years of getting registered as a CSO. The occasion was marked with a small celebration along with the inauguration of Phensem Family Resource Center by Mr. Michael Rutland, British Honorary Consul of Bhutan. The much needed Family Resource Center was supported by The Bhutan Society Trust Fund, United Kingdom.

The Family Resource Center will help in providing easy access to information, basic ICT skills, resources and use of facilities to parents, caregivers and children and persons with disabilities. This is in line with Phensem’s empowerment program for parents and children and persons with disabilities.

At the sidelines, Phensem also held its Annual General Meeting with its members followed by discussions among the members on issues and concerns that Phensem as Parents Support Group can take it up moving forward.

The Phensem Family would also like to thank our guests Bhutan Foundation, who has been with Phensem from its inception, the OPDs – Bhutan Stroke Foundation and Disabled People’s Organization of Bhutan-DPO to celebrate the occasion with us.
